A New Perspective on Understanding AI

Often, people compare AI to a black box because we don't know what's inside of it. I wanted to propose a new way of thinking about AI, or at least share my perspective.

Imagine that indestructible eggs have been dropped from alien spaceships occasionally passing by Earth. These eggs hatch on our planet, and humans interact with the aliens after they've emerged. We feed them immense amounts of information because that's what they excel at. We give these aliens a goal, provide them with plenty of data, and they quickly and intelligently figure out how to achieve it.

However, they have alien brains, which are even more mysterious to us than our own. We have far less knowledge of what goes on inside an AI alien brain than we do our own.

Isn't that a fascinating and somewhat unsettling thought?

fruit bats are the correct choice for reincarnation

Have you ever thought: if I was to be reincarnated, what would a good choice be?

my bet is for fruit bats.

why? they're super adorable, arguably the cutest most boopable snoot in all the animal kingdom. secondly I think they are the most safe.

what do I mean by that?

in Buddhism, one is reincarnated due to karma accumulated due to wrongdoings to others. And well, what wrong could a cute fruitbat do?

think of their diet. They only eat fruit. plants want you to eat their fruit. that's what it's meant for. It's to help spread their seeds and proliferate. It is a symbiotic relationship.

but what about other herbivores, you might think

well, many other herbivores are also opportunistic carnivores. Furthermore, one could argue that by eating plants you're still hurting them and that the plants as spiritual sentient beings do not wish to be eaten. That is why many plants developed self defense mechanisms such as needles, poisons, and unpleasant flavors (for example, caffeine is toxic to many critters!)

The Meaty Prison: Are We Truly In Control of Our Bodies?

When we speak about our bodies, we often refer to them as if they are something we possess and control. However, I argue that we are actually spirits trapped inside a "meat prison."

Here's why: Our bodies dictate our every move, from our basic physiological needs like eating, drinking, and relieving ourselves, to more complex actions such as experiencing mood swings and cravings due to hormonal fluctuations. While we may make choices about what we eat or drink, these choices are ultimately driven by our bodies' needs, not our own free will.

If we neglect our bodies' demands, our "meat prison" will punish us with sickness and disease. We cannot decide to eat a month's worth of food in one sitting and then not eat for the rest of the month. Our bodies simply won't allow it. Even if we consume enough nutrition to sustain ourselves for months or years, we remain imprisoned in our flesh.

Despite our best efforts to care for our bodies, we are still beholden to their limitations. We cannot fly or breathe underwater without the aid of technology. We cannot regrow limbs or organs once they are lost. In many ways, we are prisoners inside our own bodies.

However, some might argue that we do have agency over our bodies through healthy habits like exercise and eating well. I argue that these choices are not truly made out of free will. Our habits are shaped by external factors like education and the influence of gut bacteria...

Why France sucks - a serious post/talk about a topic everyone else refuses to speak about

Intro

yeah, I get it. Hating a country is pretty controversial nowadays, especially in the woke era. And to be clear, I think racial injustice/gender inequality are totally valid things to speak about (and in fact will be the two things I discuss here), but I fear we have gone into the opposite direction: basically now we can't criticize anything. It appears, at least to me, nuanced is dead, and you're either far right or far left. I think rather, we should be able to criticize things otherwise you come out with people who go way the opposite of the spectrum (dudes like Andrew Tate).

Why am I qualified to talk about this? I lived in France for 3 years, so yeah, I have some experience. I lived in both Paris and the south in Nice, and I promise you this is not just a "Paris" problem. I will post some links to other articles too, to make my point.

Racism

if you're not white or black (and a man), stay the fuck out of France, because you will have a really bad time. Hell even if you are white and black, make sure you don't get caught in the "wrong" hood. I have heard from many colleagues about the harassment they can receive if you enter the wrong neighborhood, with many people usually shouting at you but also there is a real risk of getting jumped.

Why Gorl world has the strangest audience

If you've ever been a part of gorl world, you know the audience is...they can be a bit scary. Why you ask? Often fans of gorl world will nitpick little details in Amber's videos, there have even been incidences where Chantal and Amberlynn were doxxed, pictures of Amber's gfs surfaced (even when asked for privacy) even info about some of her other exs surfaced as well. So it seems like, if you're a cast member on gorl world, even if you're not a main character you're subject to the same careful scrutiny as the gorls. And that's not to mention the ecosystem of dozens of reaction channels JUST on the girls. That is insane! what gives? surely this audience is much more unique than the audience of other youtubers. Well, I have a theory.

Their videos come from an era when, people liked watching lifestyle vlogs and mukbangs (and while this content still exists on youtube, I would argue they have already had their peak, and other newer content now might be more popular). Well, when you upload videos, and consistently (I use the word consistently loosely here) you're bound to eventually gather up subscribers and people interested in watching your video. How I Managed My Hunger and Improved My Diet

The saying, "You are what you eat," rings true when it comes to our health. The food we consume fuels everything we do, be it work, hobbies, or day-to-day living. Whether it's mental acuity or physical strength you're after, it all traces back to your diet.

I didn't always have a problem with my diet. Like many of us, I grew accustomed to my eating habits. If there didn't seem to be any immediate issues with my diet, why should I bother fixing something that wasn't broken?

My dietary journey began when I started researching blue zones – areas where people tend to live exceptionally long lives. My partner and I were intrigued to discover that most residents of these zones followed primarily vegetarian diets, with occasional additions of meat or fish. Noticing this, we decided to incorporate mostly vegetarian foods into our meals. Although I've oscillated between vegetarianism and veganism over the years, I often felt very hungry on these diets.
